A B O U T M E
Hi there, I'm Alex...
...and I live in the sticks, in the very South of Cornwall. Here you'll probably find me in dungarees and wellies; reading in a cosy corner, writing in a seaside pub or off on a country walk, instagramming snaps of thatched cottages and other people's chickens. Alongside good literature and farmyard animals, I’m an ardent admirer of vintage vehicles, folk music, glasshouses, hammocks, beautifully arranged picnics, old libraries, wooden boats, (wooden-anything to be honest) botanical prints, camping trips, nights under the stars, strong coffee, cats, tattoos and treehouses.
On the whole my philosophy is a slow and simple one. I believe in living with intention; mindful to the world and the people I share it with. As part of this I run my business as ethically as I can; using FSC approved business cards, rechargeable equipment and working from a home office, that's powered by solar panels and heated with hedgerow firewood. Naturally (pun intended) my styling, photography and design work is largely inspired by all things raw, wild, earthy and organic. Laid back events that sing with a intimate honesty and thoughtful simplicity, are where I'm at.
"I have to say I've seen hundreds, if not thousands of weddings just this last year and I can quite honestly say Alex's wedding is the most beautiful I've seen. Yes, I know superlatives are the mainstay of wedding folk, everything is "stunning, beautiful or amazing" but actually from the bottom of my heart, this is my all time favourite wedding (apart from my own!). I love it's heartfeltness (if there is such a word!) and also how effortlessly lovely it is. I see so many brides aiming to create a wedding which is blog-worthy or magazine-worthy - styled to perfection and style-me-pretty-esque - but they lose sight of what it is all about. However, this wedding is effortlessly blog-worthy and magazine-worthy, but also sincere, honest and authentically beautiful. I'm not sure that makes sense but take my word for it, it's pretty darn special!"

"With such a vast number of wedding vendors out there, choosing the right one can feel like walking across a minefield! After all you only get one chance to get it right. For us it was easy, having known Alex for a while now and knowing her style there was no doubt in our mind she was perfect for the job. Alex’s brief was to capture the magic of our special day, not in a regimented everyone-must-line-up-in-a-perfect-order kind of way, but in a way that heartfelt and authentic, and oh boy did she do that to perfection! With every photo the emotions and feelings of the day came flooding back. Whatever your tastes and requirements don’t hesitate to pick Alex, you simply can’t go wrong. Well done and thank you Alex 11/10"
